Red-backed Shrike

Also referred to as the "Butcher Bird" due to the way it hangs it's food on thorns and barbed wire. Not much bigger than a Sparrow, the Red-backed Shrike is the smallest bird of prey we see in Guernsey and is a rare passing migrant.
